With Valentine’s Day less then a week away, we have teamed up with our monthly group of bloggers to showcase a variety of easy and fabulous ways to decorate for the day of Love! If you’re coming over from Amie at Meme Hill, welcome, don’t you just love Amie’s clean classic style?! We have ten other bloggers joining us on this tour so be sure to check them all out at the end of this post. And a special thank you to Janine at Happy Happy Nester for organizing this group of amazing designers!
Lets get started and take a tour of Kim’s living room all decked out in romantic fashion.
I usually do not decorate in the typical themey way for Valentines Day but I strived to create a soft romantic setting with white and blush pink tones. I shopped my own home to get this look, pulling things from different rooms. The only things I bought new were the flowers and the pink velvet cupcakes!
I pulled in the vintage blush chair I bought years ago at an antique store for a fun change, as well as changing out the coffee table for this tufted ottoman from another room. Then I threw in an assortment of blush pillows that I’ve had for several years as well as some white faux fur pillows. I added a mohair blush and beige throw blanket I bought at an antique shop several years ago, as well as this darling ruffled ivory throw from my friend Summer’s shop at Summer Adams Designs. I added a few vintage accessories and books to layer in a little character and give that vintage glam look I LOVE!
I placed a tray on the ottoman with fresh flowers, cupcakes and champagne flutes. Gotta have a little bubbly on Valentine’s Day! <
My furry little buddy Reggie likes to be the center of attention, and why not? He’s my Valentine too!! <
Shop the Look!
I hope you got some ideas and inspiration on how to create a romantic setting for you and your Valentine and that you don’t have to go out and spend a fortune doing it either. Just some touches of pink, fresh flowers, candles and champagne will do the trick!
Next hop on over to see what the queen of pink Summer, from Summer Adams Designs has up her sleeve for the day of LOVE, I’m sure you’ll be inspired! And please consider subscribing to our email list so you can stay up on all of our doings!
