Adding Glam to Christmas Decor

FullSizeRender (7).jpg

This is such a busy time of year but we love all the fun activities, Christmas lights, glitz and glam and glam is what we are talking about today! If you are coming here form Ashley's blog Curls and Cashmere welcome, thanks so much for clicking your way here! Doesn't Ashley have a beautiful home!  And a special thank you to our host Summer from She Leaves a Little Sparkle for organizing this tour and to our sponsor Annie Selke! We have teamed up with six other fab bloggers so be sure to check the list at the end of our tour and you can click over to each of them.

We have had our Christmas decorations up for a couple of weeks now (you can view our previous tour here ) but we continue to tweak, fluff and add glam touches! We are going to show you what we have done in both of our homes to achieve a glamorous Christmas look and of course a touch of vintage! We like to call it VINTAGE GLAM :)

Starting with Kim's home...

I've never had a Christmas tree in my bedroom before but decided to try this little Charlie Brown tree this year and I have to say I love it! I'm thinking I might need to get a bigger one for next year, ha.

This beautiful cozy throw blanket and sheepskin rug are from Annie Selke and they are both so luxurious! The sheepskin is seriously the softest thing ever and so thick! And I love the texture of this Mara throw!

For a glam touch I  hung a couple of fur stockings on the mantel and lined up some glitzy votive holders that add a warm glow at night. Nothing says glam like fur and sparkle, and I got plenty of that!

A pile of cozy pillows in luxurious fabrics like fur and velvet up the glam factor on the bed.

I found this vintage white mini tree at an antique store a couple of years ago. Silver mercury candles and a sparkly house add a touch of glitz! VINTAGE GLAM

My antique dresser got dressed up with a gold tinsel tree - VINTAGE GLAM!

In the formal living room I added some glam elements with these white feather wreaths on the mirrors, pops of gold and silver, and a sheepskin fur rug. Mirrored furniture always screams GLAM and this coffee table makes a statement especially with a white fur sheepskin and gold deer sitting on top :)

I found a trio of vintage gold silver trees at one of my favorite antique stores - VINTAGE GLAM!

I decorated my fabulous 10 foot flocked tree from King of Christmas with white, silver and gold ornaments and floral picks. I added polyfill randomly for some extra "snow". Gold and silver glittery ornaments up the GLAM factor, :)  The lite garland on the stair rail is embellished with gold glitter bows and white poinsettias = GLITZ and GLAM!!!

Moving on to Lacey's home...

I added some glam touches this past week to a few different areas in my home! First area being my foyer buffet table. When I add glam I really like to mix it with vintage items. I placed this vintage white tree with vintage gold and silver ornaments = VINTAGE GLAM!

I added these amazing gold angel wings for a extra layer and major pop of glam. Next to the wings I have a gold mirrored tray with mercury candle votives filled with faux spruce tips. I then added sparkly ornaments on a vintage platter. It's the little things right?! ;)

One major decor addition I made to my tree area was presents! This can really add a very full lux glam look. I used gold and silver sparkly wrapping paper and gifts bags and boy did it give this area an extra umph! To add even more I placed this ivory pouf by Annie Selke near the tree with a faux fur throw and more presents on top. This pouf is so cozy and it brings in great texture and a fun design element to the space!  PS almost all of these presents are fake. Raise your hand if you're a last minute shopper like me! :)

On my end table added a pop of gold with these golden figs from Annie Selke. I think these add such a fun glamorous pop of gold. Again, it's the little things!

To bring in the glam in my living room I added these amazing antique gold crystal sconces to both sides of my gold mirror. This really pulled the look together and seriously made this fireplace so lux looking! VINTAGE GLAM, Loving it!!

I added these super cute sparkly stockings in both silver and gold for that mixed metal look! Anything sparkly can make any room glamorous!

In my bedroom I added blush pink christmas accessories to my white and grey bedding! This stunning comforter is from Hayneedle! I'm in love with it, the ruching adds so much glam! I added blush pink fur pillows to bring in some luxurious texture and color!

I added some white Christmas trees to one nightstand, and a christmas floral arrangement and a sparkly reindeer on the other nightstand. The florals in the arrangement are all from the dollar store!!

This dollar store floral arrangment was so easy to do. I just paired some sparkly gold berries, and silver pines with the blush pink roses. I think the grand total for this including the vase was about 6 bucks!

Here is my cute little kitty Watson wondering what the heck I'm doing! <3

My favorite piece, that pulled the whole room together is this fabulous ombre pink tree that I got on sale at Michaels for 30 bucks!! I couldn't believe it!
