Makeup Haul + Mini Reviews

Every few months or so I really feel the need to buy new makeup! I mean as a makeup fanatic its inevitable. Since I hadn't bought new makeup in what felt like years (okay like 4 months but still) AND since it was the new year I decided to switch things up and try some new makeup products!

My skin in the winter time gets very dry and red and I wanted something to give me a nice hydrated look with fuller coverage. I did some research and decided to buy the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation and let me tell you I am pleasantly surprised!

I normally like very thin water based foundations but since I have more redness in the winter I wanted a little bit more coverage and this is it! It covers my redness without looking to heavy. Its super easy to apply and the color is spot on! Love love love! I will say this is defintely a thick foundation that might not work with every type of skin. I typically like to use this just on my redness for extra coverage and use my sheer foundation everywhere else :)

Here is what else I got:

Laura Geller Blush in Tropical Hughes: OMG this is such an amazing blush. The moment I put it on my face it gave me an instant glow. This is a pinky coral colored baked blush with the perfect amount of pigment.

Laura Geller Gilded Honey Highlighter: This is a subtle light golden highlighter on its own but with a spritz of setting spray on your brush this will become an instant intense bright highlighter as well! 2 in 1 baby!

Morphe Eyebrow Powder Palette: I wanted a brow palette with different shades so when I feel like having dark brows or light brows its all in one palette. I do a lot of friends makeup and occasional wedding makeup so this palette will definitely some in handy for those times as well! This comes with warmer and cooler tones which is perfect if you dye your hair a lot of do other peoples makeup like me :)

LA Girl Concealer: I have heard such great things about this concealer and since its so cheap I finally decided to make the purchase. So far I am loving it. It gives great coverage and doesn't crease under my eyes! A+

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in the colors: Desert Sands, Sidekick, Cocoa Bear, Tiki Hut, Pocket Change, and Magic Act.

If you don't have any makeup geek eyeshadows you have probably been living under a rock because these bad boys are all the rage and for a good reason! They are nearly half the price of MAC eyeshadows and in my opinion much better color pay off. I have quite a few colors already but the ones I have most recently purchased are great for every day wear, and perfect warm transition shades for the crease!

My Makeup Brush Set makeup brushes: I've seen these oval shaped brushes all over the place! These brushes were actually sent to me but so far I have truly been loving them, especially for blending in my foundation and concealer. The bristles are super dense and soft, making blending super easy. It leaves a really nice airbrush finish on my skin and thats all I want in a brush! Plus these are super affordable which is just a bonus!

St Tropez Self Tanning Mouse: This is a repurchase of the best self tanner EVER. The express tan is great because you only have to leave it on for a few hours to get results. I often times put this on around 6pm after I get home from work, then shower at around 9 or 10 and boom beautiful tan skin! It lasts on me for about 5 days and it has such a natural glow. I HIGHLY recommend this if you want an instant tan. I love the feeling of having a bronzed glow, especially during these cold winter months! It's definitely a huge pick me up :) P.S. whatever you do use the tanning mitt. The tanning mitt makes for a flawless, streak free tan. It's a must!
