All Time Favorite Makeup Products: 2017

Favorite Makeup Products!

As most of you may know I am a bit of a makeup hoarder/ collector. I love trying new products and experimenting with makeup! Today I thought I would give you a look at some of my all time favorite products! I am always trying new things but I recommend all of these products as they are my tride and trues, my go-to's, my number 1's :)

So let's just dive in!

Primers

-Nivea Men's After Shave Balm (weird I know!)

-Benefits Porefessional

I am not a huge primer gal but I have noticed that my makeup stays on longest when applying the Nivea mens after shave balm. I know it seems weird but it has a tackiness to it that helps the foundation really stick. The Porefessional is great for when I want my skin to look smooth as it totally hides my pores! I even like to use this one even if I am not using foundation. It just gives my skin a smooth even finish.

Foundation

-Maybelline Fit Me - dewy

-Mac Face & Body

-YSL Touche Eclat

I have got all price ranges of foundations for ya! I love a dewy look so if you have oily skin you might not love these. The coverage of the fit me and YSL are actually very similar. They have medium coverage but can be build-able or even look very natural depending on how much you put on.

The Mac face and body is my go to for events because there is no spf (spf can create a white cast on your face when being photographed with flash) I use this guy when I do bridal makeup (mostly to friends getting married). Its such a pretty natural look. However, if you like full coverage this isn't the guy for you, as it it light weight and somewhat sheer.

Concealer

- Tarte Shape Tape

- Maybelline Fit Me

The fit me concealer from Maybelline is my all time favorite. It's so affordable and it doesn't crease under my eyes. I also love the Tarte concealer for a more full coverage concealer. Its brightening and blends out to perfection!

Powder

-Maybelline Better Skin

-Laura Mercier Translucent

If I don't powder my concealer and foundation in just a few hours it will smear right off my face. The Maybelline better skin powder is affordable and easy to use. The Laura Mercier translucent powder is amazing for setting the under eye area. It brightens the area instantly and doesn't leave any white cast! I love it!

Bronzer

-Benefit Hoola

-Nars Laguna

-NYC "sunny"

-Too Faced Contour

Bronzer is a product that I cannot live without! (okay thats an exaggeration but still!) It adds warmth to the skin that is very necessary, especially in the winter months! I also love a deep bronzer color for a chiseled contour! The Benefit Hoola bronzer and the Too Faced contour palette are great contour shades. They are a little bit cooler toned so it creates a "shadowed" look that defines the cheek bones. For a golden glow I love the NYC bronzer in "sunny." This guy is super affordable and its such a great product! Depending on skin tone the Nars laguna bronzer can warm up the skin or also be a great contour shade. It's not too warm nor too cool, its right there in the middle!

Blush

-Laura Geller Baked Blush

-Mac Blush - Dolly Mix, Warm Soul

I love adding a little bit of color to my skin with blush! Laura Geller baked blushes are so stunning on the skin, definitely one of my favorites. My go to blushes are Mac blushes. My favorite shades are Dolly Mix (pink) and Warm Soul (peach).  These blushes are great quality and they aren't outrageously expensive. They have so many different shades as well!

Highlight

-Becca - Champagne Pop

-Carli Bybel Palette

Highlight may be my number one obsession. It really adds so much to my makeup. When applied properly it can give you such a healthy glow! My all time favorite highlighter is Becca's & Jaclyn Hill's champagne pop (FYI all of Becca's highlight shades are stunning!). I cannot express enough how amazing this highlight is. The color is a peachy champagne color that translates beautifully onto the skin. It blends in to my skin so well that it really looks like a glow from within. It's my number one recommendation! However, if you are new to highlighter use a light hand with this one, it's pigmented!!

For a more affordable highlight I love the highlight shades in the bhcosmetics Carli Bybel Palette. This palette has some amazing eyeshadows in it as well. For the price this is a truly stunning palette with 4 different shades of highlighter! You just can't go wrong with this one.

Eyeshadow

-Tartelette in Bloom

-Too Faced Chocolate Bar

-Makeup Geek Single Shadows

These brands make some amazing eyeshadows. Makeup geek is very affordable. I love their single shadows because all you need is an empty z palette and you can custom make your own palette! For palettes, my top two are the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and the Tartlette in bloom palette. Both these have shimmer shades and matte shades. They have all the colors I need to create several different eye makeup looks. The quality is great and these are my go to eyeshadows on the daily!

Brows

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade

-Loreal Brow Clear Gel

Brows frame the face! Don't forget it! Filled in brows are a powerful statement that make your eyes pop. Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products have revolutionized filling in brows. I kid you not. My favorite products of hers are the Brow Wiz and the Dip Brow Pomade.  If you are a beginner i recommend the brow wiz as it is easier to apply! I also love her Brow gels BUT I love Loreal's clear brow gel (brow gel is light hair spray for the brows!) and its nearly half the price so I highly recommend it!

Mascara

Maybelline Lash Sensational

Maybelline Push Up

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir

I love a good super black and wet mascara. I need the mascara to lift my lashes and give me volume. Maybelline's sensational and push up are great mascara's that do exactly what I want and the price is so affordable! My all time favorite high end mascara is the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir. This gives my lashes length and volume but the consistency actually makes my lashes more fluffy and natural looking while the Maybelline ones look more wet and stiff (in a good way). I like both the fluttery look and the wet stiff look but it all depends on my mood and and look I'm going for. If you need length and volume these mascaras are great!!

Eyeliner

-Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

-NYX Liquid Liner

-Makeup Forever Ink Liner

I love a winged eyeliner look and my favorite kind of eyeliner to work with is liquid. A lot of people prefer gel but I find liquid to be quicker and easier. The Kat Von D liner is in a pen form which is probably the most user friendly, so if you are new to eyeliner or doing a wing this is my first recommendation. The makeup forever liquid liner is great because it drys matte and is long lasting. The NYX liner is affordable and is great quality. These three eyeliners are definitely my all time favs!

Lips

NYX  Butter Glosses

Kat Von D Liquid Lip

ColourPop Liquid Lip

Too Faced Melted Lip Stick

What can I say about these lip products?! They are all great. The NYX glosses and the Colour Pop liquid lips are affordable and have great color choices. The Kat Von D liquid lips are super long lasting, my favorite color in the Kat Von D is Bow and Arrow, which is a nude brown color. I also love the Too Faced melted lipsticks. The formula is creamy and the colors are stunning. The color Chihuahua is my favorite. Its a brownish pink!

Well there you have it! My all time favorite go-to products!
