It's Easter time! I love Easter for so many reasons. Of course I love to decorate for spring, I love the pastel colors, the cute bunnies, but most of all its the time of year that reminds us all what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us. He has risen! Its truly the most amazing gift we have received! The gift that we can spend eternity worshipping our Lord next to him in Heaven! Such a marvelous thing!
I wanted to share how to create a cute Easter tablescape in case you are hosting Easter brunch or an Easter get together with friends and family!
I found these cute bunny plates at Homegoods and took my entire color scheme from them! All my accessories are white, baby pink, pastel blue, and green. Using a white table cloth is a good base to add layers. Layers give dimension to the look. On top of the white tablecloth I placed these pastel blue floral place matts I found at Homegoods. This makes each table setting pop and again gives dimension to the entire table. Layers layers layers!! Now place any cute white or pastel dishes and stack them up!! Start with the entree plate, then salad plate, then a cute dessert plate or bowl!
Napkins and napkin holders allows you to really get creative! Its the little things that can really pull an entire look together! I have floral napkins and a daisy napkin holder! I added mini flower vases with each table setting along with a tea cup and a teal blue goblet! I stacked the bunny plates on top of my wedding china, which happen to have blue and pink flowers!
For the center piece I used a pastel blue runner that I already had, yes another layer! I added these rose topiaries I found at a thrift store, on each side of a whimsical green moss Easter basket that I found at Marshalls. Of course bunny rabbits were a must so I added these ceramic bunnies here and there across the table. Almost making them look like they were real and wondering about, aww so cute :) Finally I added a pop of metallic to glam up the look with these silver candle sticks!
The key to any great tablescape is LAYERS! Layers give the table density and dimension. Often times people create tablescapes and think why does this look so bare? Well just add more! More linens and more dishes is the key :)
Bunny Dishes were found at HomeGoods but there are similar plates at Pottery Barn.
Green Basket was found at Marshalls but there is a similar one at Pottery Barn.
Ceramic Bunnies were found at HomeGoods but there are similar ones at Pottery Barn.
Moss Bunny was found at HomeGoods but there is a similar at Pier1.
Hope you got a little Easter inspiration from the whimsical tablescape I created!!
Happy Easter! Hallelujah, He is risen!
